Want to know what to bring to Friendsgiving? How about some fun, quaffable bottles that pair well with camaraderie?
Friendsgiving is great; it's all your favorite people, the food and drink is plentiful, and nothing has to be perfect. That being said, if youwantthose plentiful drinks to be perfect for the occasion, allow us to make the following suggestions:
This white Lambrusco is how you start the night - it's punchy, bubbly, fun and interesting. Pairs great with snacks and catching up on both gossip and sports trash talk. Quintessential party wine.$24
Alsatian Pinot Blanc makes an excellent cocktail wine, because it's soft and floral and easy to love. Pop this one open for the crudités or when you've put your plate down and wandered away for a minute.$22
Two things can be safely assumed about your Friendsgiving: there will be a roast bird, and somebody will want Chardonnay. This wine is going to overdeliver on both fronts.$27
As with Chard, so with Cab - somebody's going to ask for it. Brendel's the cool new Cab on the block, but it's made by Heitz's Cellar Director of Winemaking. It's nice to have friends in Napa!$40
Speaking of friends, this is a wine where the grapes really get along. It's a blend of Barbera, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo, so basically the whole Piedmont gang in one bottle. Great with side dishes and gesticulation.$26
Some time near the end of Friendsgiving, you might be really glad somebody brought a delicious reposado tequila. Pairs shockingly well with pumpkin pie and talking about the old times.$72
If you buy any or all of these bottles for your Friendsgiving, we can more or less guarantee that you've got good times ahead. After all, what are friends for?
