The 2017 Domaine Léon Barral Faugères Tradition is a biodynamic red wine from the esteemed Faugères AOC in the Languedoc region of southern France. Crafted by Didier Barral, this cuvée reflects a deep respect for the land and a commitment to natural winemaking practices. Established in the early 1990s, Domaine Léon Barral is named in honor of Didier Barral's grandfather. The estate spans approximately 30 hectares, all planted on schist soils in the village of Cabrerolles. Barral is renowned for his dedication to biodynamic viticulture, integrating livestock such as cows and pigs into vineyard management to enhance soil health and biodiversity. His philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, resulting in wines that authentically express their terroir.
