2010 Grongnet, Champagne Brut Special Club 3L
2010 Grongnet, Champagne Brut Special Club 3L
Champagne, France
Crafted by fifth-generation winemaker Cécile Grongnet in the village of Étoges, this exceptional cuvée blends 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay from the 2010 vintage, showcasing the unique terroir of the Côte des Blancs. Fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, with no malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged on the lees for over five years, resulting in a Champagne of remarkable complexity and depth. On the palate, it offers vibrant notes of citrus, green apple, and toasted brioche, underpinned by a fine, persistent mousse and a chalky minerality, culminating in a long, refreshing finish.
The 3-liter Jeroboam format not only makes a striking impression at any celebration but also allows for extended aging, enhancing the wine's nuanced flavors and providing an exceptional experience for connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
