The 2020 Montes Alpha M is a Bordeaux-style blend from Chile's Apalta Valley, composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. It offers a complex nose of ripe red and black fruits, crème de cassis, tobacco, and leather, with spice aromas of red and black pepper mingling with cinnamon and dark chocolate notes; on the palate, it is smooth but structured, with silky tannins. Crafted by Viña Montes, a pioneering Chilean winery established in 1988, this wine is produced in extremely limited quantities and is only released when it meets the stringent quality standards set by head winemaker Aurelio Montes
