Sourced from a mid-slope parcel of 70-year-old vines on shallow, stony soils, the wine undergoes fermentation and aging in 228- and 600-liter barrels (5–20% new oak), followed by a period in stainless steel to preserve freshness. Domaine de Montille, with roots dating back to the 1730s, has been under the stewardship of Etienne de Montille since 2001, who transitioned the estate to organic farming in 1995 and biodynamic practices in 2005, emphasizing terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention.
