2022 Domaine Nico, ‘Grand Mère’ Pinot Noir

Domaine Nico is the personal Pinot Noir project of Laura Catena, created from her lifelong love of Burgundy and her belief that Mendoza’s high-altitude vineyards could produce something truly special. The Grand Mère comes from a single parcel in Villa Bastías, where the vines sit at nearly 3,700 feet in the Uco Valley. Named in honor of Laura’s grandmother, the wine is elegant and expressive, with bright cherry and strawberry fruit, a touch of spice, and a lovely freshness. A beautiful example of the unexpected elegance of high-altitude Argentine Pinot Noir.
