Cenote Añejo Tequila
Cenote Añejo Tequila
Jalisco, Mexico
Aged for one year in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, this Añejo Tequila picks up a lot of those sweeter, richer notes from the wood. The nose is a blend of dulce de leche and cacao nibs with a little bit of sandalwood, and the palate is texturally very silky with notes of dark chocolate, baking spice, and of course some sweetly roasted agave. Cenote is named for the Yucatan Peninsula's famous water-filled sinkholes, considered sacred to the Mayan peoples as gateways to the underworld.
