El Tequileńo is the most popular tequila in the town of Tequila, where it's frequently used in La Batanga cocktails (El Tequileńo, lime, Mexican cola, salt). This blanco tequila is categorized as a mixto, which means that it is not necessarily 100% agave spirit, but what we like about it is that El Tequileńo isn't trying to hide that fact. There is probably some cane sugar spirit in the bottle (which is allowed for Tequila), but the result is soft, smooth, and fruit-forward. It's popular for a reason!
