2022 Montes Alpha Carmenere Valle del Colchagua

This Carmenère comes from two of Montes' own Estate vineyard sites: the Finca Apalta Estate vineyard, and some additions from the Marchigüe Estate vineyard. A pleasingly deep brick red color prefaces a nose ripe with fig, plum, cherries, and cassis. On the palate, rich cherry liqueur and chocolate are accented by hints of cinnamon. The full body balances smooth tannins, and there's a long finish that carries the complexity of the aromas and flavors.
