NV Ployez-Jacquemart, Champagne Extra Quality Brut

NV Ployez-Jacquemart, Champagne Extra Quality Brut

Champagne, France

Ployez-Jacquemart is a family-run Champagne house founded in 1930 by Marcel Ployez and Yvonne Jacquemart, known for its dedication to producing exceptional wines across three generations. The estate works with its own Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vineyards in Premier and Grand Cru villages, focusing on hand-harvested grapes and meticulous winemaking practices, including only using juice from the first pressing. The wines are fermented slowly in cold, deep cellars and undergo a traditional aging process, with minimal dosage added after up to 12 years in the cellars. Their goal is to preserve the true character of each harvest, resulting in dry, aromatic, and fruity wines with fine bubbles and a clean palate.

The 'Extra Quality Brut' is sourced from Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites. 61% Pinot Meunier, 24% Chardonnay, and 15% Pinot Noir. The base wine is from 2014 with 24% reserved wine and aged for a minimum of 3 years before release.
