One of Jim Beam's historic labels, the Old Grand-Dad Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon is distilled from the same high-rye mashbill as Basil Hayden's (i.e. 63% corn, 27% rye and 10% malted barley). That high percentage of rye lends just a bit of spice to an otherwise sweet profile that's heavy on the vanilla and peanut brittle. At 100 proof, it's perfect for cocktails or over ice.
