Pinhook Flagship Rye Whiskey

Pinhook was founded in 2010 by accomplished barman and sommelier Sean Josephs to release yearly batches of whiskey that are showing the best at their age. It's a quality-over-consistency philosophy (as their back label states: "The best, not the same, whiskey every year").

The 2025 Flagship 'Green Wax' Rye has a mashbill of 60% rye, 20% corn, and 20% malted barley from Castle & Key Distillery. The nose comes across as banana bread and baking spices, while the palate is a balance of maple and black pepper. At 99 proof, this drinks well on its own or in a highball, but it really shines in a Boulevardier.
