Rhum J.M., Rhum Agricole 'Jardin Fruité'

From the French department of Martinique, Rhum J.M. is distilled straight from sugarcane juice on a Creole copper column still. The resulting spirit is aged on-site for at least 2 years in a mix of French & American oak barrels, before being proofed with water from nearby Mt. Pelée. "Jardin Fruitée", or Fruit Garden, is blended to be reminiscent of the tropical flora surrounding the distillery - this is a rum with plenty of roast papaya, Bananas Foster, and French Vanilla on the nose. The palate is equally sumptuous, while not being overtly saccharine.
