St. Lucia Distillers 'Chairman's Reserve' Spiced Rum

Chairman's Reserve comes from the island of Saint Lucia and it's a distillery that prides itself on using many techniques to procure the best results. They use both molasses and sugar cane juice for distillation, which takes place in three different shapes of copper pot stills, and one continuous Coffey still. From there, the rum can be aged in ex-bourbon, port, brandy, or wine casks (both red and white). This Spiced Rum is then steeped over Bois Bande, a special local bark, along with vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and bitter orange (among other spices). The result is smooth, sweet, and complex. Try it with ginger beer, or use it in place of vodka for a rich tropical twist on an Espresso Martini.
