West Cork Distillers is known for using all Irish-grown grains and for being experts in finishing their whiskies in interesting casks. This Single Malt spends five years in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in Oloroso sherry casks for a palate of crême brulée, apricot and almond, with a very soft texture. The round bottle is meant to resemble a buoy, a symbol of West Cork's proximity to the coast and the region's relationship to maritime industry.
